1. I reserve the right to add to this page as I see fit.
2. Commenting is a privilege, not a right.
3. Troll elsewhere.
4. Sockpuppets are for children, not blog commenters.
5. If you make an assertion, back it up with evidence. If you can't, either admit it or troll somewhere else.
6. Off-topic comments may be deleted at my discretion.
7. If you are asked to provide proof for an assertion, make sure to supply it. You will not be allowed to post again until you do.
8. Ad hominems are generally frowned upon, particularly when directed at regulars. If you can't answer someone's arguments by using facts or logic, it is best to simply refrain from commenting.
I have no issue with deleting comments that are illogical, rambling, incoherent, counterfactual, passive-aggressive, rude, insulting (to me, of course), and/or just plain stupid. I have little patience for these, and will simply remove the content if I so desire. Complaining about this can get you banned. If this bothers you, start your own blog and use your own forum.
At this point, I have published over 1000 posts. While I do not require you to read them all before posting, it is generally helpful to search through the archives to see if I have already addressed your questions or objections. There is a search bar in the upper left hand portion of the blog, and it is fully functional. You can also click on the tags at the bottom of each post to find further reading on the relevant subject.
Due to my new comment filtering settings, your comment may not appear right away. If you're commenting on a post that's over three days old, your comment automatically goes into moderation. Also, Blogger has a weird spam filtering system, which means your comment may be flagged as spam or be awaiting moderation, especially if there are lots of links in it. Be patient and avoid writing duplicate comments.
Also note that equality does not exist here. There are some commenters who receive preferential treatment because I like them and/or know them personally. Deal with it.
Do not assume that what is written here is evidence of my personal beliefs. An argument is not advocacy. My blog exits primarily for my own amusement, and so I will write things that I may not believe simply to see if I can.
Just so we're clear: I can delete anyone's comments at anytime and I do not have to explain why.
