Today is the 235th birthday of The Wealth of Nations first publishing.  Since this book spawned economics as we know it, and is still the foundation for most modern economic thought, I thought it best to take a moment to honor Adam Smith's masterpiece.

The Adam Smith Institute has a piece commemorating this day, and The Freeman has an excellent piece on the significance of the "invisible hand."
